We began the new 2024-25 season with a visit to last seasons champions AFC Barnston.
Following a decent pre-season which gave us the chance to bed in the new players over the four games to give Steve Gooch’s new look squad some good workouts.
Unfortunately only having 11 for todays game we needed everyone to put a shift in and they certainly did that!
Barnston did take the lead during the first half but Tom Groves got a late equaliser to send us in level at the break.
We had to dig in during the second half as players got tired, we battled excellently and came away with a deserved point.
